In just a few weeks White Salmon voters will receive ballots for the February 14 election. Two levies for White Salmon Valley Schools will be on the ballot: A replacement Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) Levy and a Capital Levy.
The capital levy would support important maintenance for school buildings and 1:1 technology for students. Each student in our district is issued a Chromebook for their use during school and for homework. 1:1 technology enables teachers to use Chromebooks for lessons and activities that are more adaptive and give quicker feedback. These students are using their Chromebook to collect temperature changes of a chemical reaction over time. Throughout their school years students are taught safe use of Chromebooks and the internet, as well as presentation and word processing skills they need to be employable after high school.

On February 14th, voters are being asked to consider a replacement EP&O Levy and a new Capital Levy.
Sports and extracurricular activities are one of the many things funded by the EP&O Levy. Extracurriculars and sports are a great way for students to explore their interests and talents and to share them with the community. We can't wait to show you all of the amazing ceramics our high schoolers are about to create.
A very nice presentation of $55,000 from the Hecomovich Foundation to White Salmon Valley FFA. Emily is hoping to purchase a stock trailer for her program.
