We’re cheering on our Knowledge Bowl team as they head to Wenatchee for the state competition! 🧠🏆 On Friday, we held a special send-off pep rally to wish them luck as they prepare to compete as defending state champions.
Congratulations and best of luck to our state team—Kiki Barkimer, Graham Beck, Anders Daly, and Sylvia Pimley—coached by Omar Sankari. We know you’ll represent us with excellence, determination, and teamwork. Safe travels and bring it home again!

Founded in 1921, the National Honor Society recognizes students who exemplify its four pillars: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. For over 50 years, our local chapter has upheld these values and celebrated students who lead by example both in and out of the classroom.
We are incredibly proud of these students and the positive impact they make in our school and community. ❤️🖤🤍 🐻

We celebrated the incredible accomplishments of our winter athletes this season, and it was inspiring to see all they’ve achieved. A special highlight: our wrestling team presented a heartfelt token of appreciation to Brandi Nelson, ASB and Athletic Secretary, recognizing her years of support to the wrestling program. ❤️
Moments like these remind us just how important athletics are in our students’ lives—building character, teamwork, and lifelong skills both on and off the court, mat, and field.
💡 Remember: programs like these are made possible through levy funds. Athletics and extracurriculars depend on our community’s continued support!
In White Salmon, local levy funds make up 16% of the district’s overall budget. EP&O levy funding supports student programs like athletics, music, extracurriculars, and after-school opportunities. Learn more at www.wsvsd.org/page/bond-levy

🔥 Real-world learning in action!
We’re so grateful to Washington DNR for spending time with our White Salmon Academy and 9th grade Earth Science students last week! Students explored careers in wildland firefighting and natural resource management, then got hands-on experience conducting fuels transect activities right here on our school property.
Our students learned to identify different fuel types and make science-based recommendations for fire mitigation and prevention - skills that matter in our community. This kind of relevant learning is exactly what we aim to provide for students.
Thank you to the DNR team for sharing your expertise and inspiring the next generation! 🌲

We proudly celebrated our 6 seniors for their dedication, leadership, and years of hard work representing the Bruins wrestling program. Congratulations to Wyatt, Falkner, Zeke, Gio, Sylvia, and Porter. Thank you for the countless hours, sacrifices, and memories—you’ve left a lasting legacy. ❤️
And to make the night even better… the Bruins came away with the WIN against The Dalles High School! 🏆🔥
Congratulations to our seniors and to the entire team on a great night! ❤️🐻
