I attended junior high and high school in Roundup, Montana, and pursued my post secondary education mostly in the Upper Midwest, earning my Bachelor's Degree (History & German) from Concordia College in 1985. I pursued graduate studies at both the University of Montana (History) and Luther Theological Seminary (Theology), without earning a graduate degree. Finally, I earned my Teaching Certification from the University of Minnesota. My first teaching job was at Lyle High School (Lyle, WA), where I taught Social Studies from 1990-94. I've been teaching at Columbia High School (White Salmon, WA) since 1994, focusing mostly on U.S. History and Current World Problems. My extracurricular involvement includes coaching basketball, track & field, in addition to several years supervising Mock Trial.
