Craig McKee, Columbia PrincipalCraig McKee, Columbia High School Principal

I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Willamette University, Master of Art in Teaching degree from Grand Canyon University and my Administration Credentials from Gonzaga University. I worked in the Lake County School District, Stevenson Carson School District, and the White Salmon Valley School District. I have spent over thirty years of my life helping students as a teacher, coach or administrator. My goal has always been not only to educate students but to help them to be successful in life.

I live in White Salmon with my wife Brindi and our two daughters.

To be in such a beautiful place doing what I love, I’m truly “living the dream.”

Welcome Letter

Dear Columbia High School community,

I am excited about this coming school year at Columbia High School. I look forward to seeing all the new faces as well as our returning students. It will be a year of academics, rigor and opportunities to build memories that will last a lifetime.

We have a talented and caring staff at Columbia High School. They work hard to help each and every one of our students to gain knowledge, grit, and live the BRUIN WAY. We want our students to Be Responsible, United, Inspiring, Nice, Willing, and Active. The Y lets students know, “You can accomplish your goals and dreams.”

At CHS it is our hope that students will not only receive the knowledge they need to be successful in life, but also learn valuable life lessons through participation in clubs, athletics, and activities.

I would like to thank the community for supporting Columbia High School by ensuring our staff and students have access to what they need to provide a quality education for all kids. It takes a community effort to make sure our kids are successful.

I feel lucky to be in such a caring community.
