This class is designed to follow the Career Guidance Washington advisory program and is based around a series of themes. The themes cover academic preparation and improvement; planning and goal setting; career and college preparation; community service and leadership; and basic life skills, such as using money wisely. CHS staff members act as advisers for groups of 15-20 students for their entire four years of high school. Advisory meets several times a month to complete projects and discuss upcoming deadlines. Each year students use skills gained from this course as they organize materials for their student-led conferences and as part of their culmination project presentation their senior year. A required High School and Beyond plan is completed and updated at each grade level.
