Course Description: Emphasis in this course is on laboratory and discussion of modern biological concepts. The content of this course is designed to help you prepare for the life science portion of State of Washington’s Science Assessment – Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Along with Systems, Inquiry and Application, the Domains of Life Science will be stressed. The Domains of Life Science are: Processes within Cells, Maintenance and Stability of Populations, Inheritance, Variation and Adaptation. It is crucial for your success on the NGSS that you work hard, complete assignments and activities AND ask for help when needed.
