CELLULAR PHONES & ELECTRONIC DEVICES

Telecommunication devices shall be turned on and operated only before and after the regular school day, during the student’s lunch break, and passing periods. Students who use any electronic communication device (including airpods or earbuds) during class time may receive one warning. (In the event the class has a substitute, the warning will be issued at the beginning of the period to the entire class.) After that, the student will be asked to surrender the technology to the office for the remainder of the day. Repeated violations may result in further disciplinary consequences and refusal to surrender technology may result in suspension. Surrendered technology may be retrieved after the dismissal bell.

Any student who used technology to disrupt the learning environment by sexting will be subject to discipline and law enforcement may be notified.

CELL PHONES SHALL NEVER BE USED IN A LOCKER ROOM OR RESTROOM.
